Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Interested in Anti-Wrinkle Injectables?

Hello my name is Louise Murphy, I’ve been a qualified nurse for 20 years now and have begun a new adventure in to aesthetics,

I’ve completed a course with the reputable derma medical and am now fully qualified and insured to offer a range of aesthetic treatments including

anti-wrinkle injectable treatment and derma filler.

As the body ages the structural components of our face start to change in an unfavourable way;

the skin loses elasticity, the soft tissues breakdown which lead to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and the skin can appear less smooth overall.

What are the treatments are, and what they involve.

1. Anti-wrinkle treatment contains purified bacteria that freezes muscles (by blocking nerve signals in the muscles) in doing so it can help

minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions.

Certain wrinkles may be softened, reduced or even removed.

It only works on wrinkles that are caused by muscle movement.

These are known as dynamic wrinkles and are often called “expression lines”. The most common dynamic wrinkles that can be treated with injectable treatment are lines on the upper face such as the lines between the brows, horizontal lines on the forehead and crows’ feet around eyes.

These lines are caused by smiling, frowning, squinting and other facial expressions.

It is not a permanent treatment, repeated treatment is necessary for continued wrinkle reducing effects most people find the effects last 3-4 months,

it is not best practice for treatment to be repeated prior to 3 months.

This treatment is not recommended if you;

Are pregnant or nursing, have weak facial muscles, or have any neuromuscular disease

2. Dermal fillers contain ingredients that add fullness to areas that have thinned due to ageing.

The  areas where thinning is common are in the cheeks, lips and around the mouth.

Derma filler sometimes called soft tissue fillers, are substances designed to be injected beneath the surface of the skin to add volume and fullness, which also produces a more youthful glow.

Substances used in derma fillers include, hyaluronic acid which is also a naturally occurring substance that is present in some fluids and tissues in the body.  it is this substance that adds the smooth,  plumpness to the skin.

The time they take to work, as well as how they last, will vary between individuals.

 Some fillers last 6 months, while others last up to a year or longer

Fillers can treat varying signs of ageing including;

*plump up thinning lips

*enhance or fill in shallow areas on the face

*decrease or remove the shadow or wrinkle under the eyes caused by the lower lips

*fill in or soften the look of recessed scars

*fill in or soften static wrinkles, especially on the lower face

KEY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANTI WRINKLE INJECTIONS AND FILLERS ARE;

· Anti-wrinkle treatment. This freezes muscles to stop creases and wrinkles caused by facial expressions. These are typically found in the upper face, such as the forehead and around the eyes

· Dermal fillers; These are hyaluronic acid and similar substances to “fill in “or plump areas that have lost volume and smoothness. This includes wrinkles around the mouth, thin lips and cheeks that have lost fullness. They may also be used on forehead wrinkles, scars, and other areas that need extra volume for a smoother look
